Balkan Railways (2021)

Balkan Railways - the first expansion for Iberian Railways - stretches from Istanbul to Trieste, from Albania to Romania on two 11x17 inch color maps.

19 new Business Interest cards are supplied, as are the Special Rules for Balkan Railways. Among other elements, the player opening the Orient Express (rail connection from Trieste to Istanbul) receives a bonus, as do the railroads used in the route. The terrain in the Balkans is tough, and hexes are Mountains, Hills or Clear. The game is for 3-5 players, takes about an hour, with one page of expansion rules. The expansion can be used with either the Winsome original Iberian Railways game or the Rio Grande licensed Iberian Railways game.
