Strange potions appear on the digestive tract.
If the Miner picks them up, they can reroll their action dice or decrease bacteria damage.
If the Beast gets to them first, they can use them as energy or play additional mutation cards.
Either player can use a set of them to force an immediate Ending Number Two and end the game, if they can win.
