Mayfair 4th edition style Volcano tile I created using Photoshop and a scan of a T&B River hex.
The insert as it appeared in the magazine.
The tile, cut from the magazine and mounted to the spare tile provided in the 3rd Ed Settlers base game.

Overview

A scenario that appeared in Game Trader Magazine, Issue 61 (March 2005) which contained a variant volcano tile with which to replace the desert in classic Settlers of Catan.

Settlements can be built along the volcano tile, and if a d6 rolls the number of that corner, the lava will wash away the settlements built there. But if you aren't destroyed, you receive more resources for your bravery.
