Hippos & Crocodiles: Pool, Lagoon and Trunks (2012)

Overview

Pool, Lagoon and Trunks is an expansion for Hippos & Crocodiles that adds two new game boards, a few tree trunks, and some additional hippo and crocodile pieces to the base game. (To get full use out of this expansion, the Hippos & Crocodiles: Buffalos expansion for H&C is recommended.)

Each game board in Pool, Lagoon and Trunks provides a differently-shaped playing area with its own challenges for players. The additional hippo and crocodile pieces allow for two-player games on the entire game board in the original Hippos & Crocodiles or the larger game board included in the Buffalos expansion (which is otherwise meant for use by three players).

When using the larger playing areas (or the smaller ones if you're feeling masochistic), players can choose to place 1-4 tree trunks on the playing area prior to the start of play. These trunks act as obstacles during play, and no piece can be placed on top of them.
