Verräter: Söldnervariante (2003)

Overview

The Verräter Söldnervariante (mercenary variant) was available at Spiel 2003 celebrating the 5 year anniversary of Verräter. The Spiel 2003 edition was printed on a postcard along with advertisements for games by Marcel-André Casasola Merkle: Verräter, Meuterer, Attika, and Attribut. The Söldnervariante was also made available as downloadable file by Lookout Games.

In this variant, the mercenary can be hired when playing conflict cards (Phase 3). The player hiring the mercenary immediately loses 3 victory points but in conflict resolution (Phase 5), the mercenary counts as 5 conflict points.
