Overview

With a beer in one hand and a mallet in the other, the knights of the back garden clash in a dirty duel in which cheap tricks, low blows and bad excuses are the order of the day. Who’s getting the beer?

Gameplay in Croquet: A Cardboard Game takes place in turns, with you playing your ball via cards such as "It's Crooked", "Smack in the Arse" and "Almost Straight". Outside your turn, play as many countermoves you can, whether to annoy the enemy or to optimize your game, countermoves such as "Didn't You Skip Me?", "Ouch! My Foot" and "You Shoot Like a Little Girl".

Description from the first introduction to the game at Fastaval convention:

Croquet is an ancient, noble game where there is only room for the most filthy, sneaky, bullying and vile jerk on top of the podium. The game requires a delicate balancing act between ingenious shots of your own ball in near-impossible zigzag course towards the end pin, and absurd croqueting of your opponents' balls far of the grid. Anything goes. With victory follows the crucial bragging rights - so don't leave your balls at home!

If you like games like RoboRally, Golfmania and Family Business, then croquet - a card board game is just for you.
