Overview

Zoo Food is a simple childrens' game. Ten animal cards are placed on the table. Each animal likes to eat three kinds of food. Thirty food tokens are placed in a bag.

The game includes 10 animal cards, each showing the three types of food the animal likes to eat. Under the picture of the animal is an empty circle. A set of food chits, each 1/3 of a circle, are placed in a bag. Players each take a few animal cards (based on the number of players) and on turn draw a food chit blindly from the bag. If it matches one of their animals, they can keep it and place it in the circle. When the animal has all three foods, a complete circle is made. The winner is the player who has the most animals at the end of the game.

Early versions of this game showed pictures of the 10 animals on the cards; later versions made this into a puzzle as well as the animals are wooden pieces that fit into the cards.
