Overview

It's the middle of the eighteenth century and it is once again time for the Regata Storica di Venezia. All of Venice is eager for the festivities to begin! For hundreds of years this historical event has held races of different kinds of boats, the most popular being the Gondolini Regatta, the Gondola Race! In this challenging race the gondoliers take to the canals with the cheers of local supporters and visitors to see who is the greatest of their number. Great spoils and fame await the winner!

In Gondola, each player becomes a gondolier racing to be the first through five checkpoints hidden throughout the maze of Venice's canals in an attempt to win the coveted title of Canal Master!

Gondola is a tile-placement game of head-to-head canal racing for 2-5 players. All the information you need to play is on the tiles! The game begins with the designated start tiles in play which reveals only part of the Gondola racecourse. Players take turns placing additional canal tiles over the course of play, revealing more and more of the lagoon. Players are never quite sure what the route will be and where it will take them. The tiles are designed to work together, so you end up building a beautiful map of Venice along the way!

Use cunning strategy and pivotal selections to outrace your opponents and become Canal Master. The winner is the player to reach five checkpoints first. So grab your remo and prepare to push your way to victory!
