Impulse: All Your Base (2017)

Overview

In Impulse: All Your Base, an expansion for Impulse that can be played with or without the Brake for Launch expansion, players build bases with communal special powers to further their cause in their local areas of space. In addition to the public impulse track, a parallel public layout track indicates the current shifting powers of bases for all players. Players leverage layout cards to perform cards of like type on the board on a corner of which they have built a base.

All Your Base is an area-control add-on for players who wish to focus more on developing their pocket of space to match a strategy. At least one base must be built to score any points at all. More bases multiply points scored, and more points are required for victory. Bases can be destroyed easily by enemy cruisers should they approach close enough, or if uncontested nearby, captured for a devastating impact on the previous player.
