FantasySimultaneous Action SelectionDeck, Bag, and Pool Building

Overview

That's Wizard! is a fast-paced card game of magical mind games and dueling strategy. Players build custom spellbooks and clash in simultaneous-action battles where timing, prediction, and perfectly chosen spells decide the outcome.

Master thousands of possible spell combinationsBefore each match, build a spellbook of seven cards using spells from seven distinct schools of magic:

Charms • Curses • Defense • Divination • Hexes • Jinxes • Transfiguration

Each school offers a unique playstyle, and no two matches are ever quite the same.

Fast, tense, and unpredictableYou'll manage two resources: • Stamina, your health • Power, your magical energy used to cast spells

Each round, both players secretly choose a spell and how much Power to commit. Then they reveal at the same time. Lower Power spells go first, but higher Power spells hit harder.

You'll also have access to Focus and Counterspell, two special action cards. Focus restores all your Power. Counterspell stops your opponent’s spell, but costs you Stamina to use, and that cost increases the more you rely on it.

Quick matches, evolving strategyGames are played as best-of-three duels, each lasting just about 10 minutes. Between duels, you can secretly swap out two of your spells from your Sideboard, shifting your approach mid-match to keep your opponent off balance. Victory will require not just building a strong spellbook, but knowing when to bluff, when to counter, and when to go all in.
