Overview

The aim of this game is to let locals and foreign visitors as they play to become more familiar with Taiwanese food. Using this game book, they can understand the background regarding preparing these special dishes. For foreigners, the enclosed ORDER cards have roman transcriptions (mandarin pinyin or Taiwanese language pinyin for some specific snacks), allowing foreigners to know how to pronounce each dish. So next time they go to a night market they can interact more easily by ordering food directly in Chinese or Taiwanese. —description from the designer (translated)

—description from the designer

Players represent competing vendors at the night market. Each turn, they draw several ingredient cards to their hand in order to match the requirements of the food orders available. If the player is able to complete the food order, they turn in their ingredients and sell the food for money. Players can also use their hard-earned money to buy Special cards, which allow them to attack other players' vendor booths using food inspectors, thieves, and more. The first player to reach 8 money is crowned the winner. —user summary
