In Wings of Glory — Tripods & Triplanes, the knights of the air of WW1 battle against colossal fighting machines sent by the Martians to invade Earth. The MK. IV “Cuttlefish” tripod seems to be the ultimate weapon of the invaders; but it is also possible that this monstrous achievement of alien technology is only the forerunner of even worse things to come.
