Splendor Marvel
Custom playmat for Splendor Marvel to be printed on 40 cm x 80 cm. It's an unusual size for a playmat, because I made this with solo play in mind, which provides enough space for the automa's tableau. Find out more about the solo automa on the filepage.
The Infinity Stones are scattered throughout the Multiverse. Use their essence to recruit heroes and villains and gain Infinity Points

Overview

Bring together a team of super heroes and prevent Thanos from ending the world! The Infinity Stones are scattered throughout the Multiverse. Use their essence to recruit heroes and villains and gain Infinity Points. Assemble the Avengers, acquire locations and when ready, claim the Infinity Gauntlet! Pick your tokens carefully, recruit characters to gain Infinity Points and bonuses. These bonuses help you recruit more powerful heroes and acquire locations until you gather enough characters, power, and Infinity Points to trigger the endgame!

The core of Splendor: Marvel is still the basic game flow of collecting resources (which are now the Infinity Stones) in order to buy development cards (the ones representing heroes and villains). This version introduces several differences that change the strategic landscape.

Avengers Bonus: Players collect multiple Avengers cards to get a bonus that allows them to focus on certain character sets to get the bonus and also the layer of set collection that goes hand in hand with engine-building.

Shield Bonus: The Shield Bonus allows players either to get extra resources or manipulate the game in their favor. This feature adds a tactical element, because a player must time the use of the Shield Bonus so that they reap the most extensive benefits.

To win, besides scoring a certain number of points (16), the player has to acquire at least one green token and activate the Avengers Bonus.
