Overview

A famous writer has gone missing, last seen heading into the hills in search of the fabled Hell Mouth rumored to reside in the dark depths of the local mines. Now the Heroes have been hired to find him and bring him back alive. But the dark tidings foretold in his recent stories have begun to bear an eerie resemblance to reality, building toward something sinister.

The Hellmouth acts as a gate for enemies or the void by doubling the number of encounters, attacks or growing dead on the exploration token and adding enemies to fight.
