Overview

A FREE print and play solitaire paragraph-booklet adventure game where the player assumes the role of the intrepid Time Lord himself - the Doctor!

This version of the game has been recently revised (March 2026) into DWSSG3e+ and is a web-published game played using 3 booklets: Rules, Adventures, and Enemies. Other support materials include TARDIS Mats, Reference Sheets , Cards and Tokens. Two six-sided dice are also required. All the Booklets plus all support materials are available from the designer's coffee website: https://buymeacoffee.com/dragoncymru

DWSSG3e+ is a storytelling game with plenty of events and situations, so each game will be a new, fresh experience. Players select a Doctor from the TV show (with the 1st, 4th, 10th and 11th incarnations included in the 3e+ Core Set).

An Adventure begins when the TARDIS lands at a location, be it modern-day London, the dangers in Ancient Egypt, or the distant planet of the Ood Sphere. An Adventure is played out as a series of Turns where you choose Actions, such as Exploring or Investigating.

After each Action, you may encounter new Plots, Characters and other Incidents. Eventually, by taking Actions and gaining Knowledge to find out what has been happening, you will reveal the Enemy from the Enemy Booklet. To win an Adventure, you must discover the Enemy Goal and then Defeat the Enemy. However, the Enemy is never idle and always getting closer to completing their plans. You will have to track the current Danger in the Adventure and you will lose an Adventure if the Danger total is ever 20 or more.

Defeating an Enemy will gain you Vortex Points, which is the way you can win the game. Once you finish an Adventure, you return to the TARDIS and journey onwards into Time and Space.
