カードツイクスト (Card Twixt) (2021)

Overview

カードツイクスト (Card Twixt) is an expansion to the original game Twixt produced by Japanese Twixt Association (日本ツイクスト協会). The intent is to help players learn Twixt and explore the different strategies in the game.

NOTE: you need a copy of Twixt to be able to use this deck.

Players new to Twixt are faced with a blank board and don't know where to start. Card Twixt helps by offering new ways to play. There is a deck of basic rules and introductory rules that explore variants in the game.

For example, cards in the basic set might be played to instruct a player where to place their next peg. Or the introductory rules add variants such as starting positions, or removing a bridge piece.

The designers set out to help players learn Twixt but discovered lots more opportunities in the game themselves as they developed Card Twixt.
