Overview

After the defeat at Waterloo, Napoleon was banished to the remote British island of St. Helena. The French army was weakened and the constant uprisings in Spain forced Joseph Bonaparte, Napoleon’s brother to abdicate the Spanish throne and flee to America. Once in America, Joseph Bonaparte and a considerable number of exiled Napoleonic generals settled in Texas. From there they began to conspire in secret, forming a large community of expatriates with French sympathies and expansionist intentions. They were discovered by Spanish agents who at that time controlled New Spain. The Spanish authorities sent a substantial number of soldiers to the area, which quickly dashed the conspirators' hopes.

This historical event is the inspiration for this expansion where in an alternate reality the Napoleonic legions are strong enough to compete for the territory of New Spain

More info:

This expansion can be played in solo mode, and two or three player competitive mode.

The Confederation has its own cards, Napoleonic board and VP marker illustrated with a French flag.
