Overview

Grasse, southern France, 17th century. This small village has always had its main economic activity in producing leather goods, which were exported to other places. Although the products from the small village had a good reputation, the characteristic smell of leather was not pleasing to the nobility, who wore gloves made of this material. To please the nobles, the first perfumer from Grasse created perfumed leather gloves and presented them to Catherine de Médicis, who was delighted with the gift. The perfumed gloves became fashionable throughout the court. However, at that time, the leather industry began to decline in Grasse, making way for perfumery, which led the city to become known as the world capital of perfume.

In this game, you will take on the role of a master perfumer from the small French town of Grasse, known as the world capital of perfume. To do this, you must collect resources (bases and essences), produce classic or avant-garde perfumes, and export and sell them. All your skills will be rewarded, whether as the most versatile producer, the most specialized, the one with the most refined technique, or the best seller. But there are opportunities outside Grasse: many export contracts will be available for ambitious players. At the end of the game, the player with the most points will be the winner.
