Overview

As though the devastation wrought by Valhalla’s many combatants was insufficient, the very earth itself seems intent to join in the destruction. Where the many magics and machines of battle split the earth, viscous lava fields erupt and spew molten magma into deadly pools. Those who would dare cross these flaming wastelands must tread carefully, or lose more than just their feet.

The Lava Fields of Valhalla Terrain Expansion expansion contains over 120 hexes and is fully compatible with all Heroscape Master Sets and Expansions. Transform your battlefield into a deadly volcanic wasteland, where every step could mean survival or destruction. Molten lava tiles and lava field spaces introduce strategic risk-reward mechanics, forcing players to think carefully about movement and positioning with its bold visual impact and high-stakes gameplay mechanics.

Molten Lava:

Basic game: Figures may not move onto Molten Lava spaces. Master Game: Treat molten lava spaces like water spaces except for the following:

When a figure moves onto a Molten Lava space, you must roll for molten lava damage.

Rolling for Molten Lava Damage: Roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 20, your figure miraculously survived. If you roll a 1-19, your figure is destroyed. Flying: Figures with the special power Flying may fly over molten lava without rolling for molten lava damage.

-- Lava Field:

No special rules for BASIC GAME Master game: At the end of a round, all figures still on lava field spaces must roll to see if they take lava field damage. Double-Spaced figures with one space on a lava field tile must roll for lava field damage. Double-Spaced figures that occupy two lava field spaces only roll once for lava field damage. Rolling for Lava Field Damage: In turn order, all players must roll for all their figures on lava field spaces. Roll one combat die. if you roll a skull, that figure takes a wound. Otherwise it is safe. Players may choose what order to roll for their own figures.

This is add-on content. A Battle Box and/or Master Set is required for Heroscape gameplay.
