Overview
Rhodes claims it has created the Desiccated Sea in its never-ending search for natural resources, which feels oddly self-conscious for an expansionist empire. Few realize the hegemons have little choice in the matter: either they take the responsibility, projecting an image of devastating power, or they have to admit they are at the mercy of a capricious, uncaring world.
The Harbinger has survived in the Scylla’s stomach for three days and has been baptized in its digestive acids. The hunted has now become the hunter. A taste of things to come.
