Overview

Pandora’s Legacy, TED-Ed’s first physical game, is an innovative experience that combines elements of jigsaw puzzles, escape rooms, puzzle hunts, and legacy board games into 12-15 hours of immersive, cooperative gameplay for 1-4 players.

Assembling the jigsaw is only the beginning. To progress, you’ll need to solve puzzles found within the jigsaw, escape-room style. Some solutions will reward you with gorgeous and perplexing physical artifacts that are themselves puzzles that must be solved. Others will unlock the next set of jigsaw pieces that expand the illustration and propel the story forward.

In this adventure, Pandora doesn’t just accept her fate after giving in to curiosity and opening her box; she is determined to set things right. That’s where you come in. Playing as Pandora, with the help (and hindrance) of your favorite Olympians, your mission is to corral the chaos you created when you opened the box. There's just one more problem...well, actually, 17 “problems”.

Pandora’s Legacy contains 17 boxes. Box Alpha contains the pieces of the main section of the jigsaw. Once you assemble that, you’ll receive clues for solving the first puzzle hidden within the jigsaw via a companion website. Solving the puzzles unlocks more boxes. Some contain physical artifacts that are themselves puzzles. Others will reward you with more jigsaw pieces, filling in more of the illustration and advancing the narrative. The puzzles are challenging, but accessible to solvers of all experience levels. If you get stuck at any point, the in-game hint system includes more than 200 hints designed to gently nudge you in the right direction.

Countless surprises await, all leading up to the climactic finale of Pandora's quest to set right the chaos she unleashed upon the world.
