Overview

Carpniches is an abstract strategy game for two players. Each player controls either white or black pieces with the aim of forming a straight line of three consecutive pieces of their own color, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Alternatively, a player can win by blocking their opponent so they cannot make any legal moves.

Gameplay: The game is played on a 6x6 board with pre-arranged stacks of alternating black and white pieces in the corners and adjacent diagonals. Players take turns moving the top piece of a stack. A piece moves a number of spaces equal to the height of the stack it came from, traveling in a straight line without jumping over other stacks. Pieces can land on empty squares or on stacks of one or two pieces, but not on stacks of three.

Victory: Victory is achieved either by forming a straight line of three pieces of your color or by preventing your opponent from making any legal move. Strategic movement and positioning are crucial, as players must manage both offensive threats and defensive maneuvers.
