Overview

In a world where the eternal serpent consumes itself in an endless cycle, players embody fragments of that fate: striving to outlast one another in a loop of creation and destruction. Each card played represents a step closer to renewal or demise, as the ouroboros winds tighter with every trick. The only way to endure is to master the rhythm of the cycle before it devours you entirely.

Ouroboros Trick is a trick-taking game for 3–5 players in which survival, not points, determines the winner. Each round, players play one card in turn; the highest card of the lead suit or trump wins the trick. However, the winner must discard cards from their hand equal to the lowest card played that trick, gradually consuming their own hand. When a player runs out of both cards and reserves, they lose, and all others still alive win. This cyclical rhythm of depletion and renewal creates a tense, self-balancing game of timing and risk management.
