Overview

Sailors know well to be on their guard when sailing near the Barbary states. Corsairs and pirates may be rife in these waters, but for all their menace, they are still just mortal. In hidden coves and beneath sand-swept ruins on these rocky shores lie the secrets of ancient civilisations – and those who protect them. While rumours of lost treasure may tempt the bold to brave these perils, the legend of an ancient curse that dooms those who seek its power keeps the wise away.

A Rising Tide explores the Barbary states on land and sea as Napoleon’s wars and the battle against the Harvestmen continue to rage. From port towns and isolated islands to the ruins of ancient Carthage, a competitive campaign and five solo scenarios present players with a host of new challenges, including powerful pirate fleets and creatures lost to myth, as they seek to uncover a plot whose roots reach deep into the past…
