Overview

Civil Wars has more rules for Federation & Empire. Read this book to discover rules for civil wars and for the WYN Cluster. There are also rules for playing during the Middle Years Era. And finally, there are Ship Information Tables for the WYN Cluster.

Civil wars have been occurring in this world for over 4,000 years, as more than one faction has fought for control of the government and the soul of their nations. Furthermore, civil wars have been a part of the Star Fleet Universe almost since the start, with notes mentioning Romulan, Lyran, and Kzinti civil wars over the two centuries of history.

There are many rules for the WYN Cluster because that territory is unique, and we have never needed specific rules for it until now. The WYN are just ... weird. Their entire territory spans 50 parsecs, about 10% of the neutral hex they are in. That tiny distance compared to any other capital hex creates strange effects as fighters (for example) don’t have far to go to get from one planet to another.

Want to fight civil wars or attack the WYN Cluster? There are five scenarios for you to use. Into the Whirlpool is the invasion of the WYN Cluster by the Klingons, Kzintis, or Lyrans. Mist: Uneasy Lies the Head is one of the wars between the Lyrans, as is Hailfire. The Romulan Civil War starts in Y185 between the Romulan Republic and Imperial Romulans. Reignstorm: The Usurper War of Return (also known as the Second Kzinti Civil War) is the center of the last scenario.

You will need the Federation & Empire 2010 Rulebook and various countersheets to use this expansion.
