Overview

When the Ironclad’s reckless excavations uncovered Steel, a powerful new material used to create mighty Constructs and build a vast railway network across the mountains, they also awakened the ancient Primals. These elemental spirits joined the Woodwalkers, who now wield enchanted Lanterns filled with magic, ready to be unleashed on the battlefield.

Ironwood: Steel & Spirit introduces two modular expansions that open up new strategies and further deepen the asymmetry between the Ironclad and the Woodwalkers’ gameplay. The two modules can be added to the base game individually or combined for an even richer experience.

RAILWAYS & LANTERNS expands the game with new mechanics and 30 additional special action cards. While the Ironclad can now increase their mobility by building railway connections between their settlements, the Woodwalkers can charge their enchanted Lanterns with magic, allowing them to wager two cards during battle instead of one.

CONSTRUCTS & PRIMALS introduces unique new units for each faction: four Constructs that are the pinnacle of the Ironclad engineering genius, while the four elemental Primals represent the unshackled forces of nature on the Woodwalkers’ side. Each Construct and Primal feature distinct abilities that unlock fresh strategies and new tactical possibilities.
