Each adventure comes with a scenario describing the starting situation, the forces involved and the amount of equipment each player can allow to his character. Depending on its length, each adventure has a different number of site and non-player character (NPC) cards that are placed face down on the table and drawn when the players execute the explore action. The NPC can be neutral, follower or adversary, and can also change behavior depending on the allegiance of the player character that is in the same site.
The adventures add a layer of strategy and depth to the game for players already familiar with the base game.
