The Urals (1989)

Overview

Unlike most previous titles in The Europa Series, The Urals module is not a game playable in itself. Instead, it is a module containing Europa material on the Ural Mountains region during World War II. Prior ownership of both Scorched Earth and Fire in the East is necessary to use The Urals module. The components contained in The Urals module are presented at standard Europa scales. Also included is information on combining this module for play with Fire in the East/Scorched Earth.

The Urals module contains the following components; 1. Four maps (Europa maps 28, 29, 30 and 31) covering the Ural Mountains at a scale of 16 miles per hex; 2. One chart set, consisting of charts necessary to link The Urals module to Fire in the East/Scorched Earth; 3. A revised Soviet Order of Battle providing minor revisions as well as detailed information on those units raised in the Urals, Siberian, Central Asian, Transbaikal and Far Eastern Military Districts that appear in Fire in the East/Scorched Earth; 4. A rules booklet for combining The Urals with Fire in the East/Scorched Earth. 5. 50% reductions of maps 28, 29, 30 and 31 for use as the player desires; 6. An errata sheet covering Fire in the East/Scorched Earth/The Urals; 7. The 1943 campaign and grand campaign Axis and Soviet orders of battle and deployment maps.
