Overview

The Awakening is the first expansion for the competitive space exploration game, Emergence Event. This expansion contains two new captains, eight new galaxy tiles, two new discovery story arcs, and expands the story arcs from the base game to four acts from their previous three. Each of these elements further enriches the story within the Emergence Event universe.

Players seek to explore and control locations in the galaxy, but now the Markarians have arrived. The Markarians' arrival places the players in danger. This danger is represented by a new encounter deck that adds variety and difficult choices to the game. These encounters with the Markarians must be overcome for players to have a chance at victory when the Markarian Dreadnought arrives.

The Awakening expansion offers a variety of new galaxy tiles with special rules. These new galaxy tiles require players to adjust their strategy if they wish to unlock the secrets held within them.

Made up of modular tiles, the galaxy itself, and many of the elements within, is very different each and every time you play Emergence Event. The Awakening expansion allows for even greater replayability as players develop the story of their own species as they prepare themselves for the upcoming invasion.
