España 20: Variante en Solitario (2017)

Overview

This expansion pack add two new game modes to this game system.

Solo rules let a solitaire player play against a non player side, managed by the game system.

For those wargamers that prefer simple rules and switching sides, we have include some easy to learn rules to manage morale spent (forzed march, commit reserves, declare a lung,…), advance after combat, or actions to be performed during reaction phase.

In addition to above, for those wargamers that like complete set of rules that manages all AI side avoiding that player takes decision about actions to be performed, we have included a set of priority and target selection. These rules are used together a few flow charts in such way that the game system shall guide the enemy units to their best targets in order to defeat your army. Obviously, these rules are a bit complicated and hard to learn, and increase the game difficulty.

Furthermore, 3 AI experience levels has been included in order to make the solo game challenging to both novice and veteran players.

This solo rules shall be completed with a few particular rules for each battle. The particular rules shall include, initial targets definition if they are required, use of particular event cards, or any useful rules relationship with the exclusive rules of each battle. We are developing this rules for the 4 battles included at España 20.

This solo system has been supplemented with a set of quick battle rules, and four player rules. The main function of this system is offer to players the chance to play alternative battles without the historic background by means the use of recruiting points system that increase the playability of each battle. A simplified set of Army recruiting rules, let each player shall recruit their own units, purchase cards. Furthermore, exclusive rules are replaced by a short table with a set up, and objetive definition rules for each map in the game.
