Ancient Times (fan expansion for Dominion) (2019)

Overview

This is an unofficial fan-made expansion, and is not affiliated with Donald X. Vaccarino or Rio Grande Games. Permission has been granted from Rio Grande Games and Donald X. Vaccarino to create a fan expansion, use any trademarks and copyrighted materials of Dominion and list "Ancient Time" on Board Game Geek.

This fan expansion focuses on deck stability, especially in turn 3 and 4, that is, early stage of a game. Also, it contains many trashers that help you build stable decks by throwing away cards you don't need. Moreover, it contains some flexible cards for combo decks, so you can enjoy combo decks more easily.

People in ancient times built great civilizations, though they had much lesser technology than today. They constructed pyramids, wrote documents and lived in a high mountain hundreds or thousands of years ago. At a glance, such great civilizations were flashy. However, in fact, they based on constant supply of food. How did they manage it?

The most important thing was stability. Astrologers predicted what would happen; shamans removed bad fortune when they were asked to; people wore accessories to gain more power; lapis lazuli was thought to prevent evil spirit. Ancient people made efforts to avoid disasters, such as famines, drought and floods.

Now that many ancient remains have been discovered by archaeologists, you can use the wisdom of ancient people. Stand on the shoulders of giants, and you will succeed!
