FOGSITE (2019)

Overview

フォグサイト (FOGSITE) is a Japanese asymmetrical game that won the Best Game Of The Year at the Autumn 2019 Tokyo Game Market.

This is a one-vs-all dungeon crawl game taking place in ancient ruins covered with fog. The players are divided into the Investigators and one Guardian who plays against them.

In the 5×5 maze created in the box by the Guardian, the Investigators each start from a different point and try to be united. The maze cannot be seen by the Investigators, so they try to advance with the help of mapping and deduction, which require discussion and cooperation with other Investigators.

As the mapping proceeds, the time limit becomes shorter and the Guardian grows more powerful. The Investigators win if they manage to escape within the time limit. The Guardian wins if the time limit reaches "0".

The second edition included a modification to the box lid, using magnets to stop the lid falling open, accidentally revealing the hidden map. All the components have been upgraded and the box front modified.

「濃霧で満ちた古代遺跡」を舞台とした非対称型の迷路探索ゲーム。 プレイヤーは複数の「調査隊」と一人の「ガーディアン」に分かれて対決する。 ガーディアンが箱の中に作った５×５の迷路の中で、別々の場所からスタートした調査隊が合流を目指す。 調査隊側から迷路は見えないため、手探りで進みながらマッピングと推理で攻略していく。このとき仲間との相談や協力が欠かせない。 マッピングが進むほど制限時間が短くなり、ガーディアンも強化されていく。 調査隊は制限時間内に脱出できれば勝利、ガーディアンは制限時間を０にできれば勝利する。
