Overview

2 expansions in 1 box! Contains expansions Dangers & Muisca and Dragons, Treasures & Mysteries.

New challenges await you during your journey: swamps full of crocodiles, rushing rivers, a local tribe, dangerous dragons and areas covered with thick fog. You will also encounter mysterious temples and treasures that you can collect!

Both extensions consist of many modules that you can freely combine with each other!

The Treasures module provides new treasure chest tokens that may be spent to move your explorer up to 2 spaces. However, if you collect 4 treasure chest tokens, you win the game!

The Dragons module contains 4 dragon pawns each in different colors corresponding to the cards' colors. Dragons block the route of the expedition and do not allow passage in their vicinity. However, once you play a card whose color matches the dragon, you may move the creature one space, potentially moving it out of your way and blocking your opponents!

The Mysteries module introduces new, smaller terrain tiles with dark mists. They are placed onto normal terrain tiles to add areas of mysterious fog. Once a player stops next to a mystery tile, it's flipped over and the layout underneath becomes visible.

But it is not everything. Various new dangers await you on the terrain tiles.

Dangerous places are places with a skull symbol. They are found on many new tiles. You may move through these spaces, but you may not end your turn on them.

Mountains pass tiles include a narrow pass surrounded by impassable mountain terrain, allowing you to create their own shortcuts or bottlenecks if you wish (they also can contain a skull symbol).

The tiles with Water Vortex feature arrows that push your explorer one space further if you complete a card’s movement on them.

Swamp tiles require you to play any card with a strength equal to the number of crocodile symbols on those tiles. So to enter a tile with one crocodile, you must play a single machete, paddle, or card with one coin. Shrines change the rules of the game a bit. They are placed out along the route to El Dorado, and players must stop at each one and collect all four artifacts before you can enter the gate to El Dorado and win the game. Rather than be a simple race to the finish line, this forces you to stop at four checkpoints along the way.

Finally, the Muisca tribe is a deck of 8 cards that is placed next to the market board. Two cards are drawn from the top of the pile and displayed next to the market, increasing the card purchase options from 6 to 8. When you draw one card into your hand, you can play it and discard it as usual, or set it aside (max. 2 Muisca cards) and keep it for next turn. Thanks to this, you can use the saved Muisca card exactly when you need it most.

It's high time to start a new adventure full of dangers. Who will reach the gates of El Dorado first?
