Overview

Plenty of people tried to gift Leland a new tackle box, but he always swore by this one. Perhaps it'll hold something useful for you, too.

This 4-card expansion for Fishing Lessons adds Tackle cards which must be played to win. Shuffle and randomly add 2 of them each game, with one face-up to start. When adding a card to the Lesson Row from your hand, you may play a face-up Tackle card as well. Tackle cards cover an existing Lesson card and replace it with a powerful action for the turn before being discarded to reveal the original Lesson. After playing a Tackle card, flip the other one face-up and play it on a subsequent turn. Play both before the game ends or you'll miss the boat!

A tackle card is played on top of an existing lesson card. When Step 2 is resolved, the actions on the tackle card are resolved –and then the tackle card is discarded right after it is finished. In this way, the tackle card replaces that lesson card only for the one turn, and in the next turn the lesson card underneath would be available again. The tackle card must be placed on top of a lesson card, and cannot be played on its own. The tackle card cannot be played on top of the lesson card added during the same round.
