Overview

This is a two map release for Age of Steam 2023. Maps are printed on high quality poster stock front and back.

Chicago Speakeasy (3 to 5 players recommended), map design by Ashley Miller

The Windy City. Speakeasies and bootleggers in the Roaring ‘20s. Your stomping grounds are the famous haunts of the likes of Al Capone and other Chicago gangsters. This ain’t gonna be easy. You will need to build the best underground network to deliver the ‘goods’ and ‘handle’ the Feds to come out on top. This map is based on 1920s era Chicago speakeasies and the battle with agents from the Bureau of Prohibition to keep them running. Black cubes represent the Bureau agents and may only be delivered to the Bureau of Prohibition. Goods cannot be delivered to Cities containing black cubes. Bribes must be paid for delivering goods through Cities containing black cubes. The special action ‘Bump Off an Agent’ can be used to remove a black cube from the map.

Rush Belt 2112 (3-6 players recommended) , map design by Kevin McCurdy

The year is 2112. Everything has changed. Sea levels have risen. Some say a comet fell from the sky. Followed by tidal waves. Those that survived have built and sheltered in massive dome structures. Finally, the first signs of life above ground are reappearing. Your goal is to explore the abandoned Cities, collect resources, and bring them back to the domes. This map is based in the near future in the heart of the USA. Domes start with demands for specific colors of cubes providing +1 income. When the demands are met, the domes become a colored City with +1 income for deliveries to the dome. Players must build out from Domes and explore the land afresh after the great disaster and bring back the high demand goods to succeed.
