The Road (1985)

Overview

This is a set of 14 geomorphic 8" by 8" color-printed on card stock map sections for use with Car Wars, Battlecars, and Highway 2000.

Sections include: 2- and 4-land road sections, intersections, and curves, along with 15 2" by 8" sections to customize main roads. Also included are various pieces of "street furniture" like traffic lights and road signs and some unusual features like a large crater and sections of a canal or river.

This is part of the Task Force Games' AutoVentures series (which includes Gauntlet, Turbo Fire, Hell On Wheels, and Street Fighter).

The sheets are not dissimilar to the City Blocks supplements for Car Wars. The various sections of the The Road are stapled together into a module-size booklet when new.
