Overview
New scenario for the game. During an energy shortage, energy production must be increased to compensate for the increased demand. The global footprint is an indicator of what type of energy is being produced on Catan. A low global footprint indicates renewable energy production has been a viable investment. Players who have invested heavily in this area benefit from a need for increased production. A high global footprint indicates that fossil fuels still dominate investment. Players who have invested heavily in that industry now benefit from the sudden increase in demand.
