Card GameExpansion for Base-gameAncientPrint & PlaySolo / Solitaire Game

Overview

Thespis has gained acclaim across Greece for being the first actor to step out from the chorus. Outperforming him is sure to please the gods.

Soliloquy 6-card expansion enables solo play, pitting the player against the legendary tragedian Thespis. Work past this automated playwright’s creative interference to secure your theatrical legacy.

Set up the core game as normal, then shuffle Thespis’ 6-card deck separately and place it nearby.

After each of your turns, Thespis drafts the card directly to the right of the card you chose and adds it to his own play (beginning with the earliest incomplete act and upstaging if possible). However, Thespis does not resolve instant effects when they are added as a key scene: instead reveal and resolve the top card of Thespis’ deck. These cards carry their own specific effects that may interfere with your own plans.

At the end of the game, score your own play as normal and compare it to the included chart to determine how your play was received. For harder difficulty levels, resolve additional cards from Thespis’ deck each time one is needed and subtract Thespis’ scoring effects (not patterns) from your own score before determining success.
