Happy winner. Second wargame play for Bo Erlandsson, my father in law :o). Of course he was too lucky with his dice rolls ... Otherwise the game does its jobs for beginners together with colorful theme.
Custom map / 300 dpi / format A3 / hex size 20mm.
Playtest map $ counters
Both initial beaches german units were destroyed during the Allied landing (two "1" dice roll...). Reinforcement are coming, but it will be difficult to counter balance the situation. Note: custom counters.

Overview

Destination: Normandy is a two-player, introductory historical strategy game that covers the Normandy campaign from June-August.

Intended for those new to the hobby or for those wanting a very quick, easy to play game between other games or for a tournament.

Scale: 1 turn= roughly a week Units= one corps

Play would be reminiscent of SPI's old "Strike Force One" but has a bit more depth and a historical basis.

There are a couple of optional rules and the game is well-balanced.
