Overview

The 2nd Edition of Hallowed Ground has been greatly expanded to cover additional periods, as well as providing rules for new game scales. Hallowed Ground, 2nd Edition, provides three complete rule sets that cover the 19th century period from the Texas Revolution through the Russo-Turkish War. Periods covered in Hallowed Ground 2nd Edition include:

Three scales of game are introduced in Hallowed Ground 2nd Edition - the Company Scale game, the Battalion Scale game, and the Grand Tactical Scale game. The Company game which uses the company as the standard infantry game unit gives you the chance to be a battalion or a brigade commander in the thick of battle; the Battalion game uses battalions as the standard infantry game unit - players can easily command a division on the tabletop. The Grand Tactical game uses the infantry regiment as the standard infantry game unit - allowing players to command Corps on the tabletop. The variety of wars, battles, and skirmishes throughout the period covered by Hallowed Ground, 2nd Edition requires rules that can cover engagements of all sizes. You can use Hallowed Ground to play a skirmish between Texans and Mexicans in 1836 up to the large battles of the American Civil War and Franco-Prussian War.
