Miller's Marauders, simply known as the Regiment to it's members, has been hired by the government of Del a' Zhou to prosecute a war against its neighbor the Rhineland Republic. The two states control a competing interests in the harvest of a local seaweed which has amazing healing properties. Neither are content to share in the planet's bounty and have been prosecuting a trade war with one another for nearly a decade. The government of Del a' Zhou controls the spaceport but the Rhineland republic has been constructing its own port for a few years now and intends to bypass the Zhou controlled spaceport altogether. The Zhou government does not want to lose the revenue from port fees and tariffs by allowing the Rhineland Republic to build another port facility. The port facility is being constructed near the city of Heimdal and is 95% complete. The Zhou government has hired the Regiment to launch an invasion of the Republic across the DMZ and take the city of Heimdal and destroy the port.
